Congratulations to Patrick Corder ‘98 as he received the Local Hero Award from the Alameda Chamber of Commerce. Patrick has worked for the Alameda Fire Department as a Firefighter/Paramedic for the past 13 years. Most recently serving as the department’s Community Paramedic where he works closely with our local homeless population to ensure that their health and safety needs are met. He also coordinated and organized the 2020 Alameda Firefighters Toy Program.

When asked about receiving the award, Patrick said “it is a tremendous honor. I am humbled. The values I was taught at SJND continue to serve me today. In serving others, you serve yourself.”
Patrick has served in many leadership roles during his time in the Alameda Fire Department. He is the past president of Alameda Firefighters IAFF Local 689 and continues to serve as a principal officer on the executive board.
Patrick not only gives back to Alameda, but also to SJND. Patrick has been a guest speaker for Career Day and continues to support Pilots by donating to the Annual Fund and Day of Giving. Patrick is married to SJND alumna, Emily Triplett Corder ‘00. We are so proud of you Patrick!
