Prisms is a literary and arts magazine that’s student-run, published, and managed with the help of teachers. Prisms was founded by SJND English and Spanish teacher Elizabeth Norris in 1991. The original publication was printed in black and white and staple bound. The magazine is now printed full color and perfect bound. Along with writing and artwork, the magazine now includes student performances and videos by way of QR codes. Prisms is distributed each year in May and a copy is provided to the household of each student. Check out the digital version of Prisms 2020.
On February 11 we held a virtual reading of selected works from Prisms, hosted by our students.
