Please support families from Afghanistan in a way that is compassionate, needed, and manageable. The United Afghan Association (UAA), Hayward Chapter is helping the resettlement needs of Afghan refugee families. Each SJND household is encouraged to pack ONE gallon-size Ziploc bag with items from the following list for refugee families.

SJND will be collecting these care packages on October 12th from 3-5pm for donation to the UAA. A staff member will be waiting curbside of Main Campus along Chestnut Street to get your gallon-size bag (you do not need to exit your vehicle). Households are invited to include a card or note of encouragement in their ONE bag. Thank you!
