Every year, the Visual Arts Department at SJND hosts the Festival of Visual Arts. Due to distance learning during the 2020-2021 school year, this year's festival is taking place virtually. Despite the unconventional year, students did not stop creating.
"We are very proud of our student artists and impressed with the energy, thoughtfulness and creativity that they have expressed during this challenging year," said Mark Ritter and Richard Fuoco, art teachers.
This year's festival includes watercolors, sketches, collages, painting, digital art, graphic design, and photography.. Students from all art classes, from AP Art to Art I (Visual Expression), Art II (Digital Illustration and Design), and Art III (Advanced Photography and Motion Art) all contributed works.
